Utah Circle - What's the Tour, Where we Going? This guided motorcycle road trip starts off from Las Vegas and will visit many popular cities and roads over the course of three days and two nights across many cities of Southern & Central Utah as well as Northern Arizona. Yes, we will see The Grand Canyon South Rim, viewing it from the North Rim side (as it's called). The North Rim is about 1,000 ft higher in elevation and may not be accessible during winter months (Dec - April), AND early morning temperatures may be down in the latter 30's and 40's. What are some of the areas? Well... This guided motorcycle tour is around 900+ miles depending on where you finish up on the return back to Las Vegas. One of the rules we made for ourselves when plotting out the area was, "no roads twice", so for the most part we were able to accomplish the task except for a couple of instances that couldn't be avoided where we get to our destination. The scheduled trip however, will take three days and two nights to complete our excursion. We'll drive through areas of Utah that are meant for folks who like to tour on motorcycles. We'll pass through and around many cities which we'll briefly go into below... Each day will have it's gifted treasures that we can take home and talk about for some time to come. One great way you can take home additional memories is by getting a tank cam to hold either, a camcorder or camera. The next best thing would be a tank bag where you camera is easily accessible for those moments that may slip away. Day 1 - 256 Miles - First day out will include our visit to Bryce Canyon, where we'll stay the first night. Day 2 - 233 Miles - Day 2 will be a long sweep across some of the most breath taking scenery. It's difficult to put in words what the day will bring with valleys and roads, other than most enjoyable. Utah is just full of wonderful motorcycle roads with spectacular art work of pastures, mountains, streams, lakes and brooks. Most likely, this may just be one of the best days on the seat of a motorcycle you've come to experience as we cruise threw some of the best twisted roads along mountains and long sweeping curves threw forested areas. Day 3 - 194 Miles - Day 3 will no doubt bring visions of what some parts of Utah are famous for, and that is Zion National Park. We will explore some most desirable areas of the park on our way back home

Video: Zion Park Unfortunately for most tourist they get caught up in this zoo from Mount Carmel with RIDICULOUS park entry fees of $12 per vehicle including motorcycles! This is Utah's first national park with annual visitation of 2.61 million visitors a year. Most cars can park in Springdale which is on the edge of Zion Park and take a shuttle into the shops and scenic areas, which are free. The shuttles have operated daily from the beginning of April though the end of October since 2000. Personal vehicle access is only permitted from November to late March on the Scenic Drive except for Upper Lodge employees and guests. The scenic road that shuttle buses cart the 3 million visitors a year up and down does have some beauty that can't be found by driving Mount Carmel. So, if you're going to pay to drive the 19 mile road, guess you might as well make a day of it and take a shuttle up, unless you're in the winter months which are cold, really cold. As far as our tours go, there isn't enough time for it unless we modified some other area out of the picture. The Grand Canyon's North Rim For the next few hundred miles as we edge our way to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon we'll pass through lots of meadows, prairies and small towns.
Back on the highway, it's a journey we've made many times and love the ride through Southern Utah.
Still working our way down into the Grand Canyon and loving the highways!
This open plateau around the outside of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is spectacular in the springtime. All these open fields flourish with small flowers.
For day 2 we've done a lot of traveling and starting to see the long shadows.
As things go, the camp grounds were full and were having a hard time trying to find a decent place to stay. We definitely couldn't afford a hotel down here that run a couple hundred a night and we have our gear to camp. We started looking around some pretty decent dirt roads for a place to stay the night.
Farewell to Day 2
Right in the middle of nowhere we found this camp area, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I must admit, it got pretty scary at night with no protection and animals howling but still we had a great time.
Well, we made it through the night. Here's my little princess up and ready to get started on day 3, right after we round down some coffee somewhere.
We were a mile or so down this dirt area. We're now headed to the North Rim.
Alas... Were Here!
As you can imagine, we were able to get some great photos in grrrrreat weather before we started home. Always another journey and road to explore for Vegas Valley Motorcycle Tours Just 4 the Ride! More Photos... in fact hundreds.
